Don’t Regret it in the Morning.

I’ve been following this incident just after it started a couple of days ago on Goodreads. I hate to say this, but it’s not the first time something like this has happened, but let’s all make it the last.

Some people call it bullying, some don’t. But the reality is this–Some people are not being respectful to one another on the internet. Some people think it’s okay to do and say whatever they want under the guise of free speech, but forget there’s always consequences.

One cannot have free speech without responsibility for one’s actions.

When emotions are engaged and people are offended they lash out, but remember a live person is on the other side of that screen. Would you say those words if they stood face to face with you? When you are angry, take a few minutes, walk away from the computer and imagine that person saying those words to you. How would you feel?

Righteous anger is a glorious emotion. Make sure you don’t regret it in the morning.
